When Forsythia blooms...

it's time for crabgrass control

The bright yellow blossoms of Forsythia bushes are trying to tell you something. Sure, they are saying it's Spring. They are also telling you it is your last chance to get crabgrass control applied to your lawn. And be quick about it!

Just so happens that when Forsythia has finished blooming, crabgrass seeds begin to germinate in your lawn. It's an easy way to remember when to make your first lawn application. Slightly before full bloom might even be better timing. And always be sure to water your application into the lawn if it doesn't rain, so the product is activated and working.

There are a couple products on the market that will control crabgrass right after it germinates, but it is much easier to find products designed for earlier, more timely applications.
